Default "beach" handlebars

Anyone have a 2007 RK custom with those beach handlebars? I sure like the way they look. How do they feel and are they comfortable and okay handling wise?

Roses, a very similar aftermarket bar is the Wild One Chubby #508. Like the RK Custom Bars, these have quite a bit of pullback and give a more relaxed "cruiser" style posture. You can see more details and photos on the Wild One website. Installation is a bit laborious, and in some applications you will need new cables.

I love the pullback beach bars. I'm 6'0 and the bars are very comfortable for me. If you are tall, I've heard your knees can hit the bars when you turn sharp. I've also heard people say their wrists get sore from the angle of the bars while throttling.

I have no bad experience with the bars and find the ride very relaxed.

They look cool, but offer little in the way of comfort and long-term rideability. Go to your local Home Depot and grab a set of wheelbarrow handles....that's about as close as it gets to the feel of those bars. Hard on the wrists.

My buddy has the beach bars, he rode out to Sturgis and back we did a total of 3,300 miles on in a week. He loves them. No issues at all, except in the ride through,I believe its called Iron Mountian. You have to go through these little tunnels that are for one car to get though, well he has the widest bars they make (he's a big boy), and he was getting pretty nervous going though with on coming bike traffic. That was the only thing he ever said negative about them

I did have some problems with my wrist due to the beach bars and switched out to Apes, I had this planned when I bought it so I didn't really give them a chance. I know several who have them and have no problems. So it may have more to do with old age, joint problems and previous preference. If you have problems you'll know right away sotake one for a good test ride.

I love myRK Customand switching handle bars was only a minor modification. If your looking for a new bike that rides great and you don't want afairing, I'drecommend it regarless of what handle bars you end up with.

Harley 11/4 beach bars dont have too much pullback and your wrists are in a natural position. I dont like the custom beach bars because of the wrist position. I love mine and are very comfortable..check my gallery for more pics.
