Had mine welded at a local boat dock building shop, they ordered 318 wire for me so it took over a week but good news is I have another to do and it will only take a day or two depending on how busy they are next time.
Pic shows it on bike so you can see exactly where it is.

ok thats where i thought it was, i will prob do this soon and try to find a shop that will let me use their welder for few min to patch it back, might have to give them few bucks
Sounds like you got some lag on throttle up and then a slight decel pop on release of the throttle.
FWIW, those two conditions may get a bit worse after the motor heats to full operating temp...keep an eye on things.
Bike has always ran crazy lean IMO, took it to dealer and they said its fine BS!
Anyway along with CAT removal I modded my A/C and tuned it with my TTS.
MUCH cooler and lag along with pop all gone now.
