Can anyone tell me if H-D sells a detachable trunk/tour pak kit?
I see lots of discussion about this, but no success finding a part # for the Canadian H-D site. I have a '09 EGC, and wondering if I can actually take on/off the trunk.
Thanks for any info.
Cool! Thanks for the quick response and help, guys!
The H-D search function is really not that user friendly. I put in every possible combination of words, and still never got those results. Lol
The item is $624.95 Cnd - that's a lot of $, not including going with a "cooler" seat. Easily spoil $1000.
That's a sharp looking machine there mkguitar.
Thanks again!
I bought the detachable hardware for the Tour Pak and 4 point docking kit (price is what it is). I then bought some Deutcsh connectors to create a disconnect place under the seat (that was the easy part). The biggest hassle was the antennas (antenni?). I had one that attached down by the muffler for the radio (left side) and made one for the right side for the CB (don't use it but you never can tell). Also moved my license plate below the tail light. Everything (minus the docking and tour pak hardware) ran about $110.00.

HD actually makes a kit for that (I think it's AM/FM only though), I have one on my detachable tour pack. It's this one:
It comes with an antenna that mounts on the tour pack and an adaptor and cable that goes from the bottom of the tour pack to the lower antenna location. When you remove the tour pack you unscrew the cable and screw a second antenna into the mount and you're ready to go.
