Thought I would share what I did to try to get the most out of this SH** weather we have up north . Soft lowers , I like them because they can be removed very easily , and the black wind deflectors , which I think will stay on year around . Both idems cost me just under $100 .
I did exactly the same thing to my 07 EG Classic when I bought it. Have only put 350 miles on it because of the s**t weather in this area. I was comfortable on the cooler days but wife said her legs were cold so she got a pair of chaps for Xmas.
Same setup on my SG. I also have the baffel that bolts under the triple tree and directs air down. Makes a good set up for cold mornings to work and I just pop the lowers off and put in bags when I get there.
Ditto what Mike said about the fork air baffle.
Cheap,easy,and effective.
I run the soft lowers, fairing air deflectors, and the fork air baffle, and love it for the cold weather.
Mick
Pardon my ignorance, But what are these fork air baffles you're talking about? I would really like to cut out the air blowing upwards to my face, it causes my moustache to blow up into my eyes.
