I have to agree with everyone on here that said go with the paint 'bling'. Save up $1,000 and go with a Stage I and the get a custom paint scheme and really make the bike unique. Like someone said earlier you will get accustom to the speed after awhile, but will never stop liking to stare at your one of a kind HD that you truely made yours.
performance...I have a buddy that paints and could make the SG look sic but its fun to twist the throttle and have to hang on tight or get slung off the back.
I always do looks first then performance. Want to ride something a little different than eveybody else. So if I could only do one I think I would do the paint ,if it was really unique!!
That must explain why people get their bikes repainted every year and never everbuy any performance parts again and again and again and again and again...
I'd say people get tired of their "poor" performance first...paint last. Or maybe after addressing performance there is nothing left for paint?
If I had enought money I'd do both..
