just to give you my 2 cents worth. I thought only ultra came standerd with cruise from 05 or 06?
fairly easy to install if I could do it

Cruisemount supplies wiring harnesses and hardware for the installation of HD cruise control units on a variety of Harleys, including RK's as old as 1997:

Your question could be simply curiousity or you are considering cruise for your '97. Either way, Dave, the owner of Cruisemount is very knowledgeable and helpful. Give him a call or email him. If you are considering an installation on your bike he will have what you need. He installed the cruise harness on my bike, an '04police model electra glide; his harness was great and needed since the wiring on my bike was different from the civilian EG's. HTH. I believe cruise has always been standard on the RKC.

I thought it didnt start coming standard until the Aniversery Edition, I have a friend with one that has it on and two others that have older ones without.
