Rhino's are ON!
Had the help of my brother-in-law who works as a Parts writer, races Dirt Modified, and is an excellent wrench so it went way smooth.
Glad I had a hand though as he can run a bead of Permatex like nobody's business and pulling the stock mufflers off was a little rough- even being a 2011 with less than 5000 miles they did not want to budge...nice to have someone to hold the bike steady while you yank and twist
.Also nice to have a buddy to sit on the bike while you make sure the pipes look right from the rear from across the room....you want to make sure they are oriented correctly from top-side and rear...I used a level as well as the eyeball test.
Other than that the instructions are well written and the process is not all that complicated. Used a tq wrench as spec'd, used silicone gasket as recommended.
The sound is just amazing....if you have not heard them and are in the market...listen to them.......I know it is a matter of opinion and taste but these bad boys look and sound simply AMAZING.
My brother-in-law re-builds V-8 race motors for a hobby, does not own a bike and is indifferent about HD......when I fired it up in my ride-out basement...his face lit up like a kid a Christmas........
They sound is VERY deep...just right on the volumne..could not be happier!
Yeah, I thought 4" pipes looked big on my Mustang, but they look like bazookas on the SG
I love the look, I've liked the 3-1/2" Rineharts I've seen OK but always thought they didn't look quite burly enough out back. Plus there have been a lot of complaints about the 3-1/2's being too loud. Rinehart got it right on these, at least for those of us that aren't looking for ear-bleeding volume.
