You ask RG . First same bike as the Sg with different fairing,
We are over the don't look like a Harley BS with the RG.
RG look great and for touring hard to beat.
They light up the road better at night.
But in the end it is your call if you think you look cool on a SG and that is what your heart is set on then you know what to do.
I am on my second RG this time it is a RGU.
Wind is not an issue on any of them and it is an issue on all of them. Depends on you and how you sit in the seat.
For me it is the frame mount faring and no looking back.
May trade my 2011 this August and it will be for another RGU.

I have had both fixed and batwing, keep going back to the Road glide, personal likes vary thats why they build both. Best to test drive if possible, the windshield on both makes a big difference on highway handeling.

........ True stmt, that.
.... both of'm are going to give you a quality riding experience, that's why test riding is so important. Different models will give you a differently flavored experience. Which experience you're most comfortable with is only knowable to you.
....... that said, i suggest getting the Street Glide. There's getting to be waay too many RG's out here for us to keep this thing a secret much longer

Both great bikes. Ive owned both but I prefer the RG myself. I like the looks and the handling of the RG but as others have said test them both out. I'd say rent each for a day so you can get the full effect of each bike.

You will notice that the answer you get from people, directly relates to their choice of ride

Back in 2008 I was considering trading in my 06 RoadKing for a dresser.
I made a deal with the dealership to apply a portion of my rental fees towards a new bike, so I rented a Street Glide and a RoadGlide for 5 days each.

As they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words.....................

My closest dealer had Demo rides last weekend, check with yours they maybe having them soon. I went from an 03 EGC to a 12 RGC and I love how stable this bike is. Can't say its because of the diff fairing though as the whole bike is different than it was in 03. What I also like about the RG is that I seldom ever see one. Went into dealership last week and they had 10 SG's on the floor and 1 RGU. I like em both and I love what I have. Try and test ride each...both great bikes!

I liked both, I couldn't get used to the dash on the Road Glide. I'm 5',9" and to get to the radio was a "stretch".

OMG DO NOT BUY A RG!!!!! The fairing doesn't turn on corners. You dont know how many times I find myself riding straight off the road on corners. Also if time gets ahead of you and it starts to get dark. The headlights dont turn on corners!!! Very dangerous!!!!! And forget about enjoying you radio while riding. You cant reach it!!!!!! BUY A SG!!!!
