For those who are "short of statuture" and considering the RG and are wondering how they are going to adjust the radio controls...maybe it's me, and I don't even have one yet, but couldn't you just adjust the radio before you start riding and after you are riding just adjust the radio with the handle bar controls???

2010 Street Glide with a Klock Werks windshield. The wind is blowing 50MPH right now in Vermont and its 40F. This is the worst wind I've ridden in since owning this 10 Street Glide. No handling issues or wobbles at all....Perfect. I just got back from an hours run to Burlington and back on the very windy interstate. I have not ridden a newer Road Glide. The older Road Glides used to blow you around just as bad as any other bike with a fairing. I think that the newer Glides are all pretty comparable. Tailor them to suit the need and they all handle just fine.

I'll point that out to my buddy who followed me thru 48 states on a Street Glide. Apparently he did it on the wrong bike.

Hahaha, want to get blown around on the highway, ride a Dyna Wide Glide for a windy highway ride. Over 70mph I was white knuckled as that thing literally went where the wind blew it. After figuring out that longer rides are what I wanted, I traded in the 2011 Wide Glide on a 2011 Street Glide. I have already ridden in pouring rain and high wind with no problem.....but after that Wide Glide in the wind and, God forbid, the rain...I could ride anything.

Now I need to update my signature because I am a Street Glide guy....for now...hahaha

I've owned both and have struggled to get the road glide to the quality of ride that the batwing was. I really think adding the 'madstad' windshield has finally got me happier. If you search 'buffeting' you'll find many complaints about both so as people have said, test ride for yourself. Ideally rent one of each for a few days.

Ride them both, you'll get a good idea of what you like.

I've ridden both and for me the road glide was much more comfortable. It may take a few aftermarket parts to get the comfort level where you like it, but i think you'll find this on either bike.

I'm only 5' 10", I don't have any problems when trying to reach the radio on rare occasion that i needed to.

Now that you have seen the comments......rent them! When you consider the money you will be spending for one of them it only makes sense to spend some time on them. You may not get enough of a feel with a demo ride. Spend a weekend on each and then you can decide by using the seat of your pants.

Mmmm. The S.S.S.N.
Sounds worthy of a global conspiracy.
I LIKE it!!

I don't think I got a fair shake on the 012 RGU I test rode a couple months ago.
I sat on one outside the Morgan Hill dealership Saturday.
Then I put my perscription sunglasses on and it dawned on me. I'm near sighted so I need them to ride/drive etc. I don't need glasses for close-up (yet) Right where my field of vision changes is where the stock windshield is. Thats why it was such a distraction. I couldn't figure it.
I think a lower 14" Windvest (or similar) would work for me.
There was buffeting from underneath, but it was the vision thing throwing me off.
Wierd sh**!!!
There's adjustments to all of em.

....... that said, i suggest getting the Street Glide. There's getting to be waay too many RG's out here for us to keep this thing a secret much longer
