Me and the wife stopped by a dealer on our weekend while out riding to just look around as usual, when we both were in ah over a new SG on the floor in the Ember Sunglo. I have an 04 FLHT the ive put the SG look on that i really like and had no intention of selling. Heres my question, is there really any benfits to the newer bike than what i have. Obviously more power from the 103, but is the ride/handling going to be noticeably better, or should i keep my 04 and my money.....? Thanks
Keep the 04 and your money. 88 and 5 speed still kicks ***. Do a stage 1 if you haven't already.
I agree with all thats been said. I just got the 2012 SG a couple months ago and love it. Figure out the best pressure on rear shocks and go. The new frame, wider back tire (a 180 I believe now) and 103CI motor (smooth power) make a huge difference. Pull the trigger and go with it. You won't be sorry. Keep us posted.
$11 K and your bike is just the start for $$ spent.
Think about that.
New pipes, at least a stage 1, tuner and AC for a start.
That alone will set you back about $1500.
Not too mention all the other things...
Now why'd ya have to go and introduce logic to the equation lion? hahaha
Yup lotsa dough, but the new platform really is something sweet...
Maybe a test ride will confirm if you love it so much you have to switch, or ambivalent enough to make you want to keep yours.
Spend wisely !!
