Default Elite 3's for 09' Ultra?

I have been looking online for Elite 3's for an 09' Ultra Classic but have not been able to find the right size. Even the Dunlop website recommends the D407 . Is there an Elite 3 that will fit the 09 without rubbing? I am not happy with the D407s and would like to try another tire.

If no Elites, what else are you using?

Thanks

The Elete 3's do not fit the newer bikes. Talking to the Dunlop Rep at the Cleveland IX center this past winter, we need the Dunlop American Elite.

These will fit also... Michelin Commander II Cruiser, I just found it by tire size on a site. Any comments or reviews about these tires?

The Elite for the 09 and up HD Touring bikes is called Dunlop American Elite. I have one on the back of my 09 Ultra now and I like it a lot.
Michelin just released a Commander II for our bikes. They say it's designed to last 25K miles.

This is the product description.

Michelin Commander II Cruiser Rear Tire

The Michelin Commander II tire combines a great brand with an excellent product that exceeds cruiser segment expectations. The Commander II provides unmatched longevity as well as style and stability even in wet weather. Designed with a brand-new tread compound that is formulated without aromatic oils to improve grip and mileage. In additon, the computer-based tread design maximizes mileage and encourages even wear.
Aramid tread plies resist centrifugal growth along with weight savings, providing perfect stability at high speeds
Aramid is stronger than steel and is used in aerospace and military applications
A highly dense polyester tire carcass increases belt-ply resistance and provides better overall rigidity to provide high-speed stability along with all-weather handling
A square bead wire package helps to ease installation and also increase casing rigidity for improved stability
Tread pattern maximizes water evacuation and grip on wet roads
360 degree serrated and suspended sidewalls to give an impeccable finish along with a unique logo

I had a Michelin Commander before my E3's. The Commander was a good tire.

PM me.

The Dunlop American Elites are the same as 407 Rear and 408 Front tires that Dunlop stamps with the Harley Davidson Brand on the sidewall. American Elites are the same exact tire, with a different tread pattern, but they don't say Harley Davidson on the sides. They sell only through Dunlop dealers and not Harley Dealers. They are much cheaper.

Sounds like they are exactly the same, but different.

Weird..
