After getting an complete paint job I was looking for something to protect against love bugs on long rides. Anyone tried this product?spray it on and rinse it off?

I'd be worried about what the spray may do to the paint over time, I think I'll stick with washing the bugs off after each time.

Slap a good coat of wax or lemon pledge. The bugs will come off easily.

That would be the northern tier of states. A good wax job and wash after riding. Fabric softener sheets soften the boogers too.

Yeah you right Chunker, pledge and a paint scraper, not an issue with the wash and wax after the ride, Would be good to know you had an extra layer of protection on the days their out heavy

I use a product called RejeX. Shines like crazy and stuff does not stick to it. I use it on my car, truck and now my Harley. It won't "bug-proof" your bike but a lot of them will bounce off and the ones that don't will wash off easily!

I use to rub a thin layer of baby oil on the front of my old chevys when I would travel south and into Florida. The oil hurt nothing, and it prevented the bugs from sticking. Easy wipe off then re-apply until you get out of love bug country.

Well if we are reporting past attempts, when I had to drive the gulf coast from Pensacola to Lafayette LA weekly, I tried a bug screen on the front of the truck and sprayed Pam vegetable oil on the painted and chrome bumpers. Easily cleaned up but it sure was nasty till I could wash it off. I know it can't be used on painted or plastic, but Rain-x worked wonders for the windshield. If only there was a plastic compatible product.
