I have 2-2a s , would have got the 3s but wanted to be as low as possible..I am very satisfied with them..it would be nice to be able to adjust them, but presumably , Howard can set them appropriately..In addition if you get the lowest 3s, the travel is less than the 2-2a s....so it seemed to me that with ride height as a desired variable, the 2s won out..I guess if i ever rode the 3s I would know for sure....

From what I understood from Howard, the #2A's SIT at sock height but with sag/preload they will be shorter than stock. The #2b's will sit unladen a bit higher than stock but with rider and gear will be at stock height.

First ride on them after getting them set up and I couldn't be happier. I can't even tell it sits higher when parked either. Do yourselves a favor and order them. You'll soon understand how amazing the ride can be.

I think he wants you to learn and he gives you some info to help you to understand.

he knows enough to get them real close with the info we provide him, and says they are gonna be real stiff until they breaking, I'm slowly working on my sag until I'm using full stroke, I think think the 2-2's are gonna be good for me. if you want to spend more I'd say get the 3's they no doubt would be even better.
Hey would you be able to tell me what spring # you are using on your shocks. I too am at about the same two up range and apparently we are in uncharted grounds with respect to spring selection. meaning it is a trial and error to find the right combination. Also I have a set of the #6'S and am about to try a second set of springs. I would be interested to see what springs you have. I wish we were able to get a smooth ride both double and solo but I guess that wont be the case. Maybe others can benefit from the info.

Thanks all for your responses.....After a lot of debating back and forth, discussions with Howard and a few pm's with people that own both I decided to go with the 2-2a's. The height won't be much different between the two choices but I think these will be the right way for me to go

Would love to hear an update on those 2-2a's. I'm 5'5" tall and I'm interested in these shocks. I really would like to know if they sit a little lower than the stock Street Glide. Thanks!
