I guess I am one of the exceptions. I really like the look and the storage convenience.

The only time they come off is when I have to sit / ride the base MSF course. Bike barely moves, with the lowers on the heat goes right to me. With the lowers off I'm not being baked. Just changing to Mobil 1 gave me a 15 deg in oil temp on average.

Count me as one who likes the look enough to have just ordered some Big Blue Lowers today! Didn't think of engine cooling/heating so much as increased wind protection, storage and, actually, looks to fill in that empty space in the engine guard...

I have heard the same thing. Don't remember where I heard it from though. I think they look pretty good on the bike.

How did you determine the engine cooled down? Oil temp? Cylinder head temp? Other?

When I'm a few hundred miles from home and it's 40 degrees out with rain falling, I find them to be one of the most beautiful features on my bike.

I have a set of the unvented ones I run in the winter on my SG and they gotta come off when warm weather hits. Hot as H$ll with them on in the summer. I am much cooler with them off

You can say that again. The next conversation will lead to all the buffeting...

Sooner or later, we just have to get out and ride these baby's and acknowledge all of the good features.
