2003 Electra Glide Tensioner
Does the 2003 Electra Glides have the mechanical tensioners that need to be replaced like many other models? I have a friend looking at one and wanted to tell him what to look out for. Any other concerns with this model?

Personally, I like the 2002 models because they were still running the Timken crank bearing but that would not prevent me from closing a good deal on a 2003 model.
Yes, the spring loaded tensioners were around through the 2006 model year and if the previous owner has not changed them, that would be the first thing to change after the purchase as well as the inner cam bearings. Some have run for 75K miles but some have failed instantly and without warning; just not worth the risk to ignore.
