Default Rear Stereo Jack Question

I am think about creating a head phone jack location for the passenger on my 2012 Limited because my wife prefers to ride with a full helmet and cannot hear the speakers very well. She could use her own iPod, I guess, but seems unnescessary. I know that the intercom system will carry music as well, but the headset is too big and I have that harness permanently wrapped under the seat. Has anyone grafted in a simple headphone jack somewhere with easy passenger access? Any other ideas? Thanks

I just ordered one of these cables by Poly-Planar to play with some ideas I've got.

It may be what you're looking for.

Cheers.

I tap into the speaker wires for headphone jacks- so far I have always needed to run the "volume" on the radio above 30% to get a good signal to noise ratio ( this makes the music audible above the static noise from the electrical system and ignition).

I then need to use a radio shack inline volume control to trim the level back so it isn't too loud.
