I'm looking to see if anyone in the community has modified their stock HD Harman Kardon stereo for an audio OUTPUT jack? I have a cool gadget that allows me and my passenger to share my MP3 over Bluetooth on our Scala Rider G9 communicators. I would like to be able to do the same with my Sirius/XM.
I have read somewhere that I can send in the stereo and have it done for $150 but I can/will do it myself. I'm just trying to get a little head start.

Thanks in advance.
If you figure it out, please take some pictures and let us know how. I want to do this too.
I don't use bluetooth/communications or any of that.
I do wire in an earphone jack directly to the speakers- this needs to have an inline attenuator to adjust level and get a better signal to noise ratio.
I was in edit mode when and got distracted before the post above me was made, basically the same solution.
this could get ugly but would this work.....
splice into speaker wires out -> 2-Channel Line Out Converter -> RCA to Jack converter
Now you have a output/headphone jack basically for your headunit. You may need to place some small inline resistors to prevent the output from melting whatever you plug into that since speaker output is higher than headphone outputs.
I'm not certain exactly what you are trying to do but the front audio in jack works fine. If you are talking about the relocation mod do a search it's around here somewhere.

Give this guy a call. He can walk you through the tap points if what you want is an auxiliary audio OUTPUT jack. Remember to use shielded audio cable to keep stray RF out of your audio lines.

We can do a 3.5mm stereo output that will go active with your speaker switch in headset mode. External speakers shut down, volume control defaults to the 3.5mm output.
