Like you said,take some measurements.
Are one of the arms bent? Both of them should be supporting the weight.
No nothing is bent everything else works great. The stops are welded at different distances. It didnt appear to be correct but I wasnt sure. Looks like they pulled numbers from different places when they tacked up the stops, or used a metric tape and an Inch tape LOL.
Rear of welded stop to face of rear tubing on base.
Right side Left side
1 stop 4 1/6" 5 1/2"
2 stop 7 1/4" 8"
3 stop 10 1/4" 11 1/16"
?
I would measure from the pivot point on the legs of the jack. I think this would give a more accurate result
You could also just lower the jack on without the bike on it and see if just putting your weight on it will allow both the latches to contact the stops. Then measure to see if the top rails are parallel to the ground.
I know on my jack (not a pit bull) the latches are never contact at the same time just to much flex.
talked to Owner from pitbull, he is at a show. will be back early next week and will contact to send out a new frame as it appears that the Jig used to weld the stops was flippped around and hence the reason for the different numbers. Thanks for the help.
Hello Hog95023,
Just wanted to let you know I was not trying to be smart with my response. I just figured The people from pitbull could give the best answer.
After posting my response I went out to my garage and measured the stops on my pitbull dyna lift and both sides are the same. But what I find interesting is your stops and square pieces of bar stock. Mine are made from square tubing cut on a diagonal, thus forming a pyramid shape when looking at it from the side.
Glad you found out it was a manufacturing error. It is a great lift , you will enjoy using it.
kc classic
Thanks kc. I appreciate the help. I didn't think they were open weekends but i found out they are open saturdays but not sunday. Guess i had always called on Sunday before when i tried to order the lift.
