Default Rush 2.50' Baffles for Baggers

Called Mark at M and M Cycles to order 2.50' baffles for my Rush slip-ons. He told me that a Rush tech advised against placing the 2.50' baffles on the '07 baggers as it would not create enough back pressure.[:@] The 2.25' baffles were the loudest for the '07s they would recommend.

Ride safe,

I experienced a big difference between the 2.5" and the 2.25" baffles on my 05 Ultra. The local dealer did a SERT, V&H true duals, SE Air Cleanerand Rush Mufflers. With the 2.5" baffles it bogged down at low end on the dyno. They couldn't get the computer in range with them. When they switched to the 2.25" baffles, it came within range on the computer and gained a few more hp and torque. I ended up gaining a total of 12hp and 12 torque. Been happy with it.

I did the 2" on my '07 Roadglide. Dealer advised me against the 2.5" for the same reason you just described. I am happy with 2".

I'm using the 1.75 in. because I wanted to hear my radio and didn't want my ears ringing after a long ride, and also felt the added backpressure would increase low-end and mid-range, albeit at the expense of top-end HP. I'm not concerned with the latter, but being able to pass a truck quickly without downshifting is a high priority. It is plenty loud for my tastes and I'm happy with this arrangement, coupled with a K&N and PCIII.

gambler - did you experience a big decline in the loudness between the 2.25' and 2.50'?
