Remove TourPak
Who has the most effecient conversion? HD only one out there? If not Pros and Cons of the differences. Any concerns of Hardware and Wiring. Thanks ahead for any info.
the hd kit is the only one I have experience with.
it is great if you plan on tourpak on/tourpak off alot.
many riders take it off much of the year and put it on when packing for a trip, once or twice a year.
in that case it really only takes 30 minutes to unbolt and remove it, same to mount it back up-- at one point you will need a 3rd hand to help steady the tour pak on the mount.
cost= $0
wiring:
the antennas need to be relocated
the tour pak lighting
the stereo
most who remove the tour pak can roll up the wiring and tuck it under the seat.
I used the antenna relocate to put the antenna mount on the saddlebag mount, and use a stubby antenna. I just leave it like that with the tourpak on.
( I also made my own lighting harness from under the seat to the tour pak using a flat 4 trailer plug, I needed an extra hot wire for some accessories in the tourpak)

the plate mount and signal bar are from a 2010 road king
