My EG is starting to vibrate more and more! Found the lower tranny bolts loose, tightened these and it made no difference. Looked for anything rubbing the frame and everything looks good. I jacked up the engine and looked at the front motor mount, it looks ok i guess, nothing is split. Its getting to shaky to ride! Bike has 37,000 miles and the front mount has never been changed, do I change it anyway? and if so what should I install. After reading all the vibration post I am thoroughly confused. Thanks in advance, john
The front motor mount is probably still good if the plate that's attached with 2 bolts to the motor rests on the steel sleeve in the center of the front motor mount, and not on the rubber biscuit.
If that plate is now resting on the rubber directly, your front motor mount is broken.

I experienced a similar problem, was not all the time,at certain speeds. After several months of not figuring it out I replaced my tires, no more vibrations. If your tires are old, but look good it may be that. Mine looked fine but when I took them off, they were very hard. All I can say it worked. Good luck with your problem, someone in here will have the answer.
so your saying that the top plate mounted to the motor should not rest on the rubber? cause it is! whats the best mount, stock or aftermarket?
I did a lot of reading and discussing in here trying to establish my vibration problem. My bike had 90,000 miles on it at the time so it clearly could have been many things.
( Another thanks to Fabrk8r (sp?) with several good conversations to help me figure it out.)
2 motor mounts stand out: Glide Pro. ( a forum sponsor I believe,) and Stabo. Both are supposedly great, and I chose the Stabo because it is half the cost of the Glide Pro.
Bike now has 107,000 miles and still runs 'sweet.'
May try the Glide Pro set up next time though just for the experience.
