Some friends from work rode to Joliet on Sat morning and came back to Bloomington on Route 66... Good times. Only about 200 miles for me for the day round trip... so just a nibble on the Route 66 sandwich, but fun nonetheless. Interesting stuff to see... but much of 66 sucks and is better off bypassed and riden in interesting sections.
Daughter called me today just as I was getting ready to mow the lawn and wanted to go for a ride. Don't ever let it be said that I'm not a great Daddy. 200 miles later, and an explanation to the wife why the lawn will have to wait until tomorrow. It's her daughter's fault!!
