I have an 03 RK CVO, 12K miles.......The starter is making the dreaded "clunking" sound on about every 8-10 starts.....Reading all the threads on this issue I believe it is the clutch in the starter......
I am fairly handy with a wrench and will take the stater out to replace the clutch mechanism.....Any pointers on this task (replacing the clutch).....Looks fairly straightforward to get the starter out but I don't have any clue on the complexity/difficulty to R&R the clutch mechanism.....
