Heritage bars wont fit a glide, they are to narrow at the base. i have a set of Wild 1, INC. bars. 1 1/2'thick, internal wiring, 2' pullback. Great feel!! Wild 1 inc.com part #wo575!!
I think DI75 and Boargaurd are right, I just looked at some pics of Electra Glides and I think that the heritage bars will not fit because of the base width, it is only 11 1/2", where the EG bars' base width seems to be around 15" to get wide enough to clear the inner fairing before the first bend upwards...... sorry for getting everybody worked up about Heritage bars for your Glides...
I used the pullbacks on a 98 EGC and a 04 UC along with a corbin seat. On my 07 UC I went to a close corbin which I like much better and stayed with the stock bars.
I have them on my 06 Street Glide. I had the same impression as others in that I liked the pullback but thought that the bars were too narrow. However after riding with them for some time I got used to the position and like them now. I still may try a set of Road King Touring bars, but for the time being I'm content with the Touring Pullback bars.
Flanders makes a set of bars that will pull back further on the Street Glide and look like they would be a good fit.I had Flanders on my FXR and found thefinish on their bars to beexcellent. I would watch out for any bars that impede the rear view mirrors.
If you are interested, I have the touring pull back handlebars for sale. If you want them. 35.00 including shipping. They are like new. Had them on for one week.
I put the pullbacks on my06 StreetGlide about 3 weeks ago. First ride, the hand position was weird feeling, much better feeling on the second ride, now it feels fine. The combo of sundowner seat and pullback bars has eliminated my back and neck strain on long rides. I'm set for the long hauls next summer!!!!
Oh yea, I used the flex your exisiting brake line, and reroute yourclutch cable method, works fine. Savin the bucks for luggage.
Hope this helps, Jd
