Rain is not the same as spraying a bike with a hose or, God forbid, a pressure washer.

Your bike is not a submarine, but if you want to go ahead and wash the inner faring with a water hose, go right ahead. But don't expect your speakers or radio to last very long. Not to mention all of the moisture and foggy looks you will introduce to your gauges. Spray away!! Lots of guys still do then come on here and complain about failing HK radios, speakers, gauges, etc. and never once figure out that their cleaning methods are the problem.

This responses to this thread were pretty funny. Many of the comments were no brainers. Actually had to ride home yesterday from the Dealer in a fairly heavy rain storm (no, I didn't drive backwards). The speakers did get wet, especially in the lowers. Water would acummulate and then drip down into the speaker. The main faiiring fared better but still wet. I think I will invent something!!

I know right, there has to be something! I was thinking maybe a metal or plastic shell to cover the whole motorcycle, not only protect the speakers but other things as well. Maybe add doors to make it easy to get in and out and windows for ventilation. Hell, why not add an extra set of tires to help stabilize the whole thing? We would have to come up with a catchy name for it ......... got any ideas?

Some of you guys are Va Jay Jays. It is a bike that is meant to get wet. You can hose down anything on it, just don't go silly with the hose. Mentioned in another thread is that the Horn isn't really waterproof as I have ruined a 15 dollar horn before.
