Looking for information and installed pic's for the 10'' Windsplitter windshield on an Electra Glide model. I know there have been threads on this, but I haven't seen anything specific to the 10" Windsplitter on an Electra Glide model.
I have a 2011 EGC with stock seat and I'm thinking about installing one, but would like some first hand feedback. By the way, I'm 6'3'' with a 34'' inseam. Thank You.
Ill try to snap a few pics for u this weekend. At 6'3" you'll have no issues. At 5'8", i have issues when using my bad lander seat because my line of sight is right at the lip of the top. When using my stock seat it is better but the distortion that the top curve makes is something i had to adjust to. The wind protection is far better for the rider and believe it or not, my better half says she gets less wind too.
A little BUMP here. Nobody has the new 10" H-D Windsplitter on an Electra Glide???
I went to my dealer last weekend and they had windsplitter windshields for demo purposes. They let me ride with it for a couple days.
...... And yes, I actually have a good relationship with a dealer I trust, sadly I live in San Diego and the Dealer is Harv's HD in Macedon,NY... but that's another story.....
FYI, I'm 5'8" with a 32" inseam and the 10" windsplitter was right at eye level when I slouched in the stock seat. I ended up with a 9" Fastaire Aero. The Aero is a nice piece of gear, and for whatever reason has minimal distortion in the recurve where the HD windsplitter had a lot of distortion at the recurve.
I received an email from H-D they have demos of their Windsplitter windshields to try.
I was at a Dallas dealer a couple of weeks ago and they were just setting up their demo Windsplitter shield display, so yeah, they're getting out there now. That's the way to go, try before you buy!
