I've used JC Motors many times and they've always given me absolutely flawless service. They will pick the bike up un-crated from essentially any address and deliver it in perfect condition to essentially any other.
Some other shippers are cheaper - and for all I know just as good - but for my bikes, it's JCM or nothing.
For the record, I am not affiliated with this company in any way - I'm just a very satisfied customer.
I used them too, from New York to Kauai, Hawaii no problems.
Www.haulbikes.com. ive never used them but I met one of their drivers at the local dealer. He was dropping his bike off for service, but the way the bikes were loaded in the trailer were top notch.
I'm thinking of going with Freight Center? They gave me a good price and were very nice on the phone and returned emails. Shipping from Sacramento to Atlanta, doing smokies + parkway and riding back next month.
I shipped my 2005 Heritage to my son from Parkton,MD to Kailua,HI this past February via Federal Transport. I sent the original copy of the Inspection Sheet along with photos of the bike to my son. When the bike arrived in HI my son found it to be in excellent condition except for some dust on it which came from inside storage along the way. They were a bit pricey but I highly recommend them from my experience.
Getting ready to ship my 2010 FLHX from TN to Phoenix for a week long bike trip. I have decided to ship rather than rent. Gonna have my bike shipped to HD of Scottsdale and have it serviced then hit the open road riding AZ, UT, CO, and final destination, Albuquerque, NM. I'll have it shipped back to TN from there.
What shippers have you guys used? Tell me your experiences with them, good or bad. I'm looking at Federal Transport. This is who HOG recommends. I'm also looking at U Haul Bikes. Any input is appreciated.
I ship my baby regularly, can't leave without her. I've never used Federal though therefore I don't know how they are. I tried several companies in the past years, but the most affordable one was All Coasts Transport. I usually don't have to prepare the bike in any way (unless I ship it overseas)! They would come and pick it up in an enclosed trailer and would deliver it wherever I asked them to. Last time I had my bike shipped from New York to Los Angeles. They charged me a total of $800 and my bike arrived 5 days later! I've been using them for the last 3 years and never had a problem. If they'll keep their level of service, I'll definitely not going to switch!
Anybody had experience with Federal Transport that HOG recommends?
I used them last week. I had my bike shipped from Clayton, GA to Cleveland, OH. They ship from dealer to dealer. They delivered as promised and were pleasant and easy to work with. I had a good experience and would use them again.
