Default Motorcycle Shipping Question

Getting ready to ship my 2010 FLHX from TN to Phoenix for a week long bike trip. I have decided to ship rather than rent. Gonna have my bike shipped to HD of Scottsdale and have it serviced then hit the open road riding AZ, UT, CO, and final destination, Albuquerque, NM. I'll have it shipped back to TN from there.
What shippers have you guys used? Tell me your experiences with them, good or bad. I'm looking at Federal Transport. This is who HOG recommends. I'm also looking at U Haul Bikes. Any input is appreciated.

I've used JC Motors many times and they've always given me absolutely flawless service. They will pick the bike up un-crated from essentially any address and deliver it in perfect condition to essentially any other.

Some other shippers are cheaper - and for all I know just as good - but for my bikes, it's JCM or nothing.

For the record, I am not affiliated with this company in any way - I'm just a very satisfied customer.

I do. I bought my bike in Florida and had it shipped all the way to CA. The shipping cost was competitive and INSURED. Everything arrived on time and without damage, but it wasn't exactly "white glove" treatment either. If you don't wanna pay for top of the line handling, they do a good job.

I just had my bike shipped and delivered via Federal and quite happy with their service. I would recommend and use again. Good luck.

I have thought about this many times as I ride every year n Az where my brother lives but with so many shipping companies out there and no experience, I ended up just renting. Bummer, as I prefer riding my own bike.
My riding buddy always uses Allied. He is also a BMW motorcycle sales guy (has a SG and a GSA) and their dealership uses Allied. Cost was around $700. one way!.

Sounds about right. At least you will be riding your own bike.
