Where's the logic?

What is the significance of the valve stem being on the right side? I know mine used to be, but when I had new tires put on the wheel must have got turned around as the stem is now in the left. Tire rotation direction is correct. I never looked at the rotors but I will when I get home. Is this valve stem thing something I need to have corrected?

Stem on right makes sense if you consider lean on side stand. Seems the confusion "stems" from tire changers confused by the rotor swap.

It is just easier to get a tire chuck or a gauge on the valve stem if it is facing the highside (right side), while on the jiffy stand. If you don't have a problem working from the lowside there is no need to change it.
