Default Odometer stuck on trip A??

Weird problem I noticed - my odometer is stuck on trip A and will not change?? It always worked fine, spedometer still works, odometer still works - just stuck on trip A. I'm pulling the seat off tonight to install a PCIII so maybe connecting/reconnecting the ECM might work?? Ideas??

Bad push button switch? Mine went bad after about 3 years. I think I paid about $7 for a replacement at the dealer. Simple fix, but you have to pull the fairing cap. My replacement even came with two new crimp terminals because you have to cut the wires to the factory switch.

You were exactly right!! I replaced the switch this evening and all is good, well except for the fairing screw I lost - LOL!! Apparently this is quite common, dealer said they sell lots of these.... Used my own connectors though, I'm a telephone guy - what can I say!!

Thanks again - ride safe!!

Glad to hear it! Mine slowly went bad and took a harder and harder push to work. I had almost worn out the rubber cover because of pushing it all the time trying to get it to work. I should have replaced the cover too, because it fell apart about 6 months after I put in the new button.

Yep, mine has been stuck on the mileage setting for about 6 months and won't switch between A, B or miles to go. Glad to hear it's only a switch issue.
