Rain gear PFFFTTTTT!!!!!!!!!! people all ya need is to go to the dollar stores, buy a $1 box o garbage bags and a dollar roll o duct tape!! BAM your good......
Too right, but you forgot the 2 cans of deodorant you need to carry for every time you stop for a coffee break and sweat your bollocks off ;-)
I was very lucky a Harley dealer in my small town was put out of business (could not expand) I bough rain gear from him for a great price along with 20 other things. The rain gear never leaves my saddle bags.
Here in Florida with the heat and humidity, quality rain gear is very important. Wearing a cheap set in hot humid weather only means you will sweat your *** off. I bought my H-D Gore-Tex set in 2004, and have used it here in the Florida heat, as well as in freezing rain in Canada.
I bought one. Spent 150 at Harley. Bought the boots and gloves too. Haven't been caught in the rain since. LOL. But when on a long ride its packed as is the full face.
I've had the cheap stuff..... believed rain gear is rain gear and the HD stuff was outrageously priced but took folks advice here and bought some after my exhaust burned up my frog toggs ..... the HD rain gear is worth every penny.......no comparison to HD rain gear for serious long haul road trips in rain storms....sure I prefer to ride in perfect sun shine 75 degree weather but .....

If it doesn't say Harley then you're wasting your money. I've been in hellacious rain storms from Florida to Alaska with my HD Overpass outfit and it always, I say always, has done it's job. And hot pipes never melt it. It doesn't flap in the wind either like that light weight stuff. I would rather ride when it is dry but on long trips that is not always an option.
