Thanks, all sound like good ideas. I plan on Reinhart true duals as soon as I get it ( I have Reinharts on my Fatboy and love em) The chrome will come later, I was really interested in the XM radio and I hate to say this but possibly the navigation system since we plan on some long distance trips.
Thanks for your suggestions. I was originally buying this reluctantly, (wifes idea) but now I am getting pretty excited.
Zeppelin seat is a must in my opinion, The conquest is also very nice and can be used in car or hiking. May consider fork air baffel if you wear light weight glasses( will cut back onyour glasses buffeting around some) Tour pack luggage rack and maybe radar for when the urge strikes.
Looks like we have alot in common....both having an '05 Fat Boy and you getting a '07 Ultra! All that posted have good ideas. I am happy with the few pieces of chrome along with a Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1 intake, Vance and Hines Oval Slip on's and a PCIII. Also like the Kuryakyn ISO grips. They are thicker and have a softer grip...good for long distance.
I would suggest a throttle lock, to use whenever the cruise is inappropriate; tour pak luggage rack; luggage rails for the top of the bags, so you can bunji something down if you have to; a louder horn, such as Stebel Nautilus or Mini-Beast; RJS Original "No More Fried Thighs" leg heat shields;highway pegs, XM radio, MP3 player with aux. cord to plug into the radio; 3 pouch leather windshieldstorage, G3 Gerbing heated gloves, Garmin Zumo 550 GPS; Drag Specialties halogen running lights mounted on the engine guards; PCIII; locking lower faring doors (from eglidegoodies.com) for your S&W Airweight 38 special; full tank of gas.
I ordered one in vivid black that should be coming in soon. I went to the dealer last night and ordered the SE stage 1 kit, SERT, Vance & Hines Slip-ons, XM Radio, and a bunch of chrome extras.
I got my 07 Ultra in December and had the dealer put on the trunk rack and added adjustable passenger floorboadmounts. My wife really likes the floorboard mounts and on the first ride it took several stops to get them adjusted just rightfor her, but she loved it when I finally got them there. Also got the rider backrest, but don't really use it when riding two up.
Rhineharts, luggage rack, highway pegs, lots of chrome considering how little they make at this time. I had XM for 3 years and it was great but then they wanted another 3 year payment so I looked at Sirus. For the cost of 3 years of XM I got lifetime Sirus.
The Ultra pretty much has it all. But if you're planning on doing alot of long rides, then I think the stage 1 and a backrest will make your trip much more enjoyable.
