Default 07 Ultra classic

Going to order an 07 Ultra Classic next week. Any suggestions as to any extras or anything. Plan on doing a lot of long distance riding. Have a 05 Fatboy now so I think the Ultra Classic is going to be a very different experience.
Thanks

I added the adjustable backrest, disc lock, unmarked bike coverand a cheap addition that I relly like is a throttle rocker for those times when cruise control isn't appropriate.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive yet. It should be here in 3 weeks. To start off I'm adding the back rest, TourPac carrier, headlight and driving light visors, chrome trim rings for the speakers and the suspension pump. I may add the PCIII while in stock form and maybe pipes and AC later.

I have added Chubby 575's, Road Zepplin Seat, SE AC (with the required reflash), SE Slipons and various chrome accoutrements (heh heh). I like the extra power the AC and reflash gave me. I do most of my riding two up and with my 290 and the wife we are pushing 400lbs. In stock trim, 6th gear was unusable below 70mph, but now it will cruise at 65 with bof us on it. The pipes are street legal, but open up the sound nicely. It sort of growls now....

Have the stage 1 done before you pick it up. Makes a huge difference. The rider backerest is a nice add-on too.

XM Radio! Backrest, tour pack rack, the rest is frosting. If you plan on doing lots of touring the XM radio is awesome. I road from SC to NM on one channel (XM74 Bluesville) with excellent reception all the way.

You're gonna love it.

Essentials in my opinion are the Kuryakyn Saddle Shields and the Dragon wings.
You might also want to consider a shorter windshield. For riding in the rain I like to be able to look over the shield without raising up.
There are a lot of options but you might want to wait a bit and see what you really need before adding a lot of expense. For instance, the seat is pretty comfortable but you may decide you want a backrest for longer trips (I did) and the HD Zeppelin seat is extra comfy and wide with inflatable air pockets so you can adjust for comfort (but you may decide the stock seat is just fine, I added a sheepskin cover to mine for Christmas).
I added the oil cooler when I bought it but am not sure I really needed it so save your money. Definitley get the security system. If you keep yours in the garage you may want the door opener option so all you have to do is flash the brights (I hate digging for the opener).

Enjoy.

Heated grips, if you plan on riding in cooler temps, say below 50. The chrome front end package with chrome rotor covers looks nice also.
