Reminds me of after we got back from Daytona in 2010. The weekend after we just wanted to hang out and drink a few vs going on a long ride. The bar we frequent is in the same parking lot as Harley. This was the first weekend they were doing demo rides so we took out a Fatboy and Street Glide. Mistake.....I liked the Street Glide before, but just had to have one after that. I loved my VRod to death...but in November 2010 I traded it for a 2011 Street Glide. I feel your pain man! My wife bucked me on it for months, then finally she gave in. Congrats and good luck!
THANKS MAN!! ...BUT DONT HAVE THE NEW BIKE YET, IT'S BEEN RAINING HERE IN D.C. AREA YESTERDAY AND TODAY, MY 2 DAYS OFF, CANT GO BACK TILL NEXT WEEK, TO MAKE MY MISTAKE!! ..LOL
You will probably win the award for the most expensive Road King ever purchased by a HD Forum member.
I read of a shiek who bought a gold Road King, but he was not a member.
Congrats on the New $coot!
Yes, "SAFETY" is the way to go. Tell her you're not worried about yourself but the ABS will make things safer for her. Explain how they have a new frame which is much "SAFER" Good luck
thats a good one , will have to remember that one , but please let us know if it works
JUST TALKED TO HER FOR 2 HOURS ABOUT ABS, I THINK SHE DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BREAKS AND HOW THEY WORKS TILL TODAY!! ..TOO EARLY TO SAID IF IS WORKING!!
Funny now you go to "just look" then next thing you know you're horse trading! I just bought an Ultra Limited. Had an 09 ultra but I fell in love with the new red two tone paint. Add the 103 engine and ABS and for about three weeks I kept back and forth about it, finally said, no I'm too close to retirement to go in debt anymore. Next thing I know I'm next door to the HD store drinking with friends, drag them over to look at it and the next thing you know it's a done deal! Dang beer! lol Already took it to Thunder Beach and still have NO regrets!

I KNOW THE FELLING SIR, IT'S SOMETHING INSIDE YOUR HEAD TELLING YOU " YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT" ....LOL
You could buy the new bike and a cover. Just keep it covered up in the garage. She'll never know. It will be "our" well guarded secret here on hdforums.
Good luck with your new scoot...and yes, I've been married twice because of situations like you are in now.
