Postive Result from a bad monday
The noise kept getting louder and louder till it started shacking thru the handlebars. Of course this alarmed me and I turned on the hazards and started moving over. As I hit the far right lane on I15 the bike started shuddering and the front tire felt like it was locking and letting go.
So I killed the engine let off the front brake and slowed down slowly using only the rear brake. I managed to get the bike to an exit about 1/2 mile up and got on the side of the road and off the interstate.
Results of this fun event. Front left wheel bearing seized and welded the spacer and the bearing to the axle. I managed to get the wheel off in a parking lot thanks to a friend and van full of tools.
But the highlight was the service from my indy (Caesars Motorcycle Empire) . Moved me to the front of the line for the tire and had me back out with new bearings, axle cleaned up and verified and speedo gear in about an hour. Have to love that service. Bike is back home waiting on a new speedo gear since I managed to break it last night installing a new cable. I guess it didn't like be tapped on.

Yes it is. He still owns and operates it at the same location down in Midvale. I believe he said 35 years or something around there. I know some people don't like his attitude or his manners. I have had him say I don't know and pick up the phone and call either Harley or another shop and ask the question.
He currently has a part sitting for me to pick up after hours tonight. Have to love that. Call and pay over the phone and he will leave it somewhere for you.
But yes riding in Utah is fun. I think any city would be this way though.
