Andrews 26h in my bagger pulls strong throughout the usable rpm range 1800-5000. works well with the V&H pro pipe

I was interested in the 26H because of the low RPM range and because I've read about lots of people who are very happy with the 26. Most were in the 96. Gary at Andrews says the 48H is very similar in RPM range as the 21 and 26 cams and would work well in my 103 at my altitude.

That is one hell of an RPM range... All the way up to 50,000!

Can't believe I read this entire post... very informative. Thought I wasn't going to do much past Stage 1, but I now have cams on my to do list. Relatively inexpensive upgrade for a nice performance boost. I have to stay away from this site!

Yes, please keep us updated. I have the same bike so I'm looking forward to hearing about your results.

I called Andrews and spoke with one person (can't remember his name) and was told that the 48H was designed for the 96 where as he said that the 54H was designed for the 103.
I bought a set of them, but sold them and went with the Feuling 525's.

suprised no one has mentioned the SE 254e when talking about the new 103. I just bought a set and installing next week. Seems a good upgrade like the 255 was for the 96.

After hearing from many of you, emailing Doc in FL and hearing from Gary Wallace at Andrews, I went with the Andrews 48H for my 2012 Street Glide 103. Gary said the 48H would be better at my altitude (Denver - 5200ft). If I were closer to sea level he said the new 57H would be a better choice. I also added an S&S stealth air cleaner, Fullsak headpipe and Monster Rounds. Improved torque from 83 to 105 and HP from 66 to 88. I'm very pleased with the sound and performance. It's amazing how much better the bike breathes. It seems to run effortlessly whereas before it felt like it had asthma.

Thanks for all you input.

dave

p.s. If you are in the Denver area and looking for an independent, Randy at Speedwrench does excellent work for a good price.

Those are some really nice curves you have there. I would be happy with that result.
