I have a 2004 RK - would like to know if anybody in Ariz. would be willing to let me try their vented lowers for a day ride. I would come to you and if your willingwould take a short or long day ride[ on your schedule] so I can see if this is the thing to do before shelling out big bucks. Lunch/dinner on me. I live in Chandler ,Az. just off the 101 and Elliot. My number is 480-766-8193 . Note: IMO-trying the soft crash bar covers is not the same as hardvented lowers. Thanks!! for any replys
You might try renting a UC. I can tell you that I like but not love my lowers. The difference between liking and loving is when it is cold the air flow is very noticeable over the lower and below the upper fairing. Knees get hammered in the rain but all else is dry.
For what it's worth I would not take mine off. I run a JAGG verticle oil cooler inside my left lower. It has a themostat and keeps me at an even 190 regardless of ambient.
Hey I will tell what, I have a niece that lives in chandler and if you fly me out there I will take your bike for a nice long ride and when I get back I will let you know if you should spend the money on lowers. Don't need housing I will stay with family. Let me know!
