Default question on handle bars

I have a 02 electra glide and was thinking of putting higher bars on, i am 6'1 and have average arm length. The 12.5 looks about right for me but im not for sure yet, is there any brand that is better/ cheaper than another? and is there anybody that sells complete kits? how tall can i go before i have to get cable extensions?
Thanks

I've been looking for quite some time also. Round and around about how high I should go. Personally I don't like the look of the bars way above the fairing. Like 16" or higher. I was leaning towards the 12" bars for awhile, I like the way they look. After doing more reading people always advise to find what you like then go the next step up. After taking some measurements I decided the 14" are right for me. Here's a link to what I'm after. To bad they don't have a forum discount.

After doing some reading i am reconsidering the 12.5 and thinking of going with 14's but i still cant decide i dont want to go to high and make them uncomfortable plus if there too high i dont want me hands freezing when its cold out, thats the nice thing about the bat wing. Thoughts??

Go with the 14's. I put 14's on my 2010 Street Glide and they fit just right. I am 5' 10 and the bars are right at shoulder height. They look good behind the fairing IMO.

I am on my second set of Wild 1 Chubbys. Had 12" on my Heritage. I loved them but decided on 14" on the Ultra. Prices are reasonable. The big money comes during installation. I was not comfortable doing it myself. Your hands will be 7" or so above the fairing, but I really dont notice it until I take a grasshopper on the knuckle and get yellow guts up my arm.

Plan on extending your lines for anything over 10" bars.
