6'2"/275# and love the HD tall boy seat. Most I've done on it so far is a few 500 mile days, but not sore at all. I am a trucker, so used to sitting for long days. I am thinking about a Streetglide seat for daily running for looks, but most of my cash is going to make it run better for now.

6' 280 lbs here. before you spend big bucks try Mean City cycles with your stock seat. Yeah it dont look as cool as a sundowner but at the end of a 500 ride my butt dont care about looking cool. As I get monkey butt I got some monkey butt powder. And I just got the circulator pad. It helps wth the swamp ***.

Six foot six here and 300. I ride a modified tallboy seat on my bike. After I got the seat I went to a local shop and they moved me back another inch and down about 3/4 of an inch. The slot for the back rest is still there but the seat itself serves to provide some low back support. Plus the back seat is plenty generous in terms of size and comfort for my bride.

6'2" at 280 and use a Sundowner for distance, a Mustang solo for one up and a add on mustang pillion for locals with the little woman. Been on Corbin, C&C and a few others but these two do the trick for my old ****.

+1 on this combo...I'm pushing 300# and it makes a huge difference over the OEM seat. The 19" width on this seat makes a big difference for those of us with WBS (Wide Butt Syndrome)

i like the price point for the tallboy seat since dealer has 15% off on it for me. i dont have a stock seat currently just a badlander which i may send off to mcc and use as a solo or townie seat i suppose. anybody use the alaska sheepskins? as opposed to circulator pad? or is that question opening up a new can of worms?

For Me the H-D Sundowner is what I am running I bottomed the stock seat tried a solo seat
from Mustang and went back to the Sundowner. It supports my lower back where I need it.

Mean City does not put enough support in there modifications for big people. 200lbs or less, give them a try. Otherwise save your money.

I'm a lightweight compare with you chaps, but thought I would share a thought. Comfort starts at the ground up, in other words, tyres, followed by shocks, then seat. I have proved with my own experience that working that way has significantly improved our comfort and the miles we can do each day.

There are more compliant tyres which smooth out the ride, but the biggest benefit was custom-built shocks. The improvement really is remarkable. We use a Corbin, bought new about twelve years ago. So don't look only at your seat for better comfort.

Default Best kept secret....

I am 6'1" 285,13 year football player, and army veteran who spent 7 years in the 82nd abn div pounding the concrete 5 miles a day for 5 days a week so you can imagine how my joints feel at this point and im only 31! The best kept secret of them all is the police seat. I have one on my 2012 Road Glide and its amazing. Its wide, narrow around the crotch and floats as the bike eats away the miles. You can get one on ebay for super cheap and the good thing is that if you get a complete kit, the rack that holds the plate and the tank is the exact same rack for a tourpak. i paid 299 for the whole kit brand new off a bike that didnt even see the showroom floor before the dealer replaced the seat. you dont have to spend as much as i did but i wanted that seat cause i loved the hell out of it on my cop bike.
