ok whats the difference in the ax-300## ultra low vs. the ax-400## ultra slim?
the ax-400## slim is 30 bucks cheaper....
The AX-400XX versions are NOT as low and slim as the Carbon Fiber AX-300XX models. This I know because I have the Glossy/Cloudy black version, and while it is a tad smaller than some DOT half helmets I've owned, it's more comparable to my Daytona brand half helmet than the fit that the Carbon Fiber models has. I know just looking in the mirror it's not as small appearing as the OP's Carbon Fiber model. And the interior on the AX-40025 Glossy/Cloudy Black does NOT look at all like the interior of the CF models: it's got a full coverage liner, exactly like the liner in my Daytona.
Note, they call all the other helmets "Ultra Slim Profile", not "Ultra Low Profile". Only the CF models (Red, Matte and Glossy black) are the "Ultra Low Profile". And unless you've want the Red (M-2XL), or can wear XL in Glossy Black, they're sold out right now.
