Hey LawDawg try a rain suit along with a set of gators help keep your feet dry. Not sure what or if you were a helmet. When it rains hard enough I will were a non DOT skull cap with a safe face mask best face protection i've found also pretty good when it gets cold. The safe face you can get from outdoor world. For a windshield repelent go to Ft Myers HD I don't think Naples has it get bug slide spray I use it all the time doesn't hurt the windshield. Also you could have warned me about silky thanx

 

I use a 3/4 helmet with a shield, good fitting glasses and a windshield. I use carnuba wax on the windshield and face shield and it works well. I carry the wax with me on trips and reapply as needed. XL black latex gloves over my gloves to keep them dry. The FXRG jacket is great. When the rain stops I can open up the collar and vents as needed without stopping or overheating. Water proof boots and any rain pants.

 

I did treat my windshield with the H-D product but have not tested it in any real rain yet. It does seem to make the bug cleaning job a little easier though.
