Default Speed limited?

I was wondering if the speed on my bike is limited by the computer? My bike is making 111/110 tq/hp yet when I get rolling it pulls hard to 110 and no more. It'll do it in 5th or 6th. My riding buddys bike rolls right up to 120, then stops, and he has less tq & hp than me. If this is speed limited in the ecm then can I change the setting with my sert?

I think your aerodynamically limited. As far as I know there is no "limiter" on any HD. (unlike ZX-11s, Hayabusas, etc.)

If it aerodynamically limited then more hp/tq should make it go faster untill rear tire starts slipping. with more hp on my bike than on buddies I should be going faster than him at top speed

So if I'm interpreting your post correctly, you're saying once you get to 110, his bike will start walking away from you? As far as I know the engines are rev, not speed, limited. I could be wrong, though. I don't normally see anywhere close to 110 MPH.

RBWIDE - YES YOU ARE RIGHT! I an way out in front of him till my speed stops rising at 110. After that his speed rises to 120 and he walks away from me.

Lay as flat as you can on the tank and see if that helps...oh, wait, in my case it wouldn't be far enough to help! I really have no idea. I don't think the majority of tuners out there have a speed limiting feature? Anybody know for sure?

I haven't heard of a speed limiting function. I know with my setup I roll right through the speedo and upwards of 130ish
