Ive read alot of stuff and I think I understand about this efi tuner business. I have an 06 SG with the following, 95 big bore kit, SE slip ons, SE AC and has stage 1 download from stealer. All yhis was done by prvious owner. Scoot runs great but runs very hot. Has enough power for me but I would like to richen it up some. Cash is very limited due to dropping about 5K in customizing crap. I will prob never have it dyno tuned because it runs just fine for me. I have the chance to buy a fuelpak for 140 or a power command III for a little more. Not to crazy about the idea of hooking up a computer to the bike but I could learn. Which would be better for what I need.
That is probably the route I will take later. 1k service scheduled for next week and I will wait until that is complete. Bike rolled over 1000 miles yesterday.
I went with ThunderMax, had a PCIII, you can't beat the TM!
Their expensive, but well worth the money in the long run.
I just can't say enough about how good they are!
Don't sell um, just use um!
Get the PCIII and buy it from Fuel Moto. Jamie will get your bike running correctly and if there is ever anything else you do you have lifetime MAP support from them.
Also you can shave a little more $ off by getting the Fuel Moto Tuner it is cheaper than a PCIII and it is the same thing. Fuel Moto sell so many that they had Power Commander produce a generic version of the PCIII that is called the Fuel Moto Tuner . It will save you $ 50.00 and is the same thing as a PCIII http://www.fuelmotousa.com/fuelmotoefituner.htm
On your bike the Power Pak will help but it only changes fuel and is limited by what V & H does. The PCIII or the FM Tuner is a complete tuner can adjust fuel, timing both cyl rpm limits etc. With the Fuel Moto support you may not ever have to hook up to a computer. Jamie will send it to you with a preloaded MAP for your bike and then plug it in and go. If there ever is a reason to change the MAP its 10 minutes to reflash it and again if your unsure call Fuel Moto and they will walk you through it on the phone.
