Sorry you had a crash and glad you are OK. From a scenic point of view the best way to enjoy is riding in a car with someone else driving. I have been lucky enough to be a passenger in a few of this countries best places for views including Sedona, The Dragon, Blue Ridge, and The Grand Canyon and being a passenger is far better than when I drove the same route. I had to drive through Monument Valley but it was a straight road with no traffic so you could gaze all you wanted. The first time we did the Dragon on the bike I had to make my wife quite telling me to look at cht and just let me take in what I could.
God Speed on your recovery I have a bud just back to work with broken ribs and he has been pretty miserable. Be sure and replace the helmet.

Glad your ok, I've got to second iron butt. I grew up in that area and know the roads in E TN and W NC are forgiving if your attentions goes elsewhere. Somedays I wonder how I survived my earlier driving experiences. Thank God there were no cell phones then.
