As mentioned above, a wrapper fender will show off the wheel more. That's the way to go.

Some people like the wrapped fenders, others do not. I think on a Street glide they look great but on a Road Glide due to the excessive width of the fairing they make the wheel look too skinny. You can see out wrapped fenders here. They really change the character of the front end of the bike. It looks much sleeker with the wrapped fenders. Check out our gallery which has many bikes with varying components and wheels to give you an idea of how your bike will look.

I like the look of the stock fender. The wrap just isn't my cup of tea. It take just a second to run a 3/8" bit through the back two fender wholes. Then you don't have worry about rubbing regardless of the tire.

This si what most people do and I have even had people change fenders and get stretched stock style fenders as they prefer th e look over the wrapped. It really is a personal choice.

However I like the wrapped fender better

PistonPuller......who makes that front fender? Looks nice.

As far as using the stock fender...I just installed a 21" front wheel on my 09 SG and all I did was loosen up the bolts for the fender and tilted it forward a bit then tighten up the front fender. The back of the stock fender is were I noticed it needed just a bit more of a gap.
