Is it just me? But the surfaces sure look like they have a lot of deposits built up for just a recently run motor.
That's a question for S&S, since it's their complete motor and VFI system. 400 miles running 94 Octane, unless you're saying I'm bullsh*tting on the milage.
Yes that would be the correct thing to do, but that would cost labor and you work for free since you already paid for and installed the motor.
By the way, why did you go with S&S vs. Fuel Moto vs. 120R? Sorry, don't mean to hijack.
120R wouldn't fit, didn't really look at fuel moto. Went with S&S because I liked the idea of the 111 square motor, not looking for huge numbers just a smooth motor and reliability. lol
call and talk to them again. explain everything you told us. maybe a differant person from S&S will hear what you say. hearing and listening two differant things.
As a fellow S&S owner it doesn't sound to me that you have helped yourself much. Coming on here and moaning doesn't make a good impression either! Fortunately mine has worked fine and is well out of warranty now.
As well as your dealer do you have an S&S indy nearby? I live in the UK and our only S&S approved warranty dealer is 250 miles away, but I got him to install my motor as insurance, just in case I had problems.
I'd say try talking to them again. In my experience S&S is a great company with great products. Granted I've never bought a complete motor from them but I have run quite a few of their parts on my last few bikes.
Good luck man, sux you're having a bad experience.

That does suck but at least you have a warranty. Wouldn't be the case with a 120R or fuelmoto. Not knocking them, just sayin'. There was a thread not long ago about a guy whos low mileage 120R broke a clip and sent metal thru the oil pump and destroyed the motor. Thousands to repair it and no warranty.

That's great yours has worked fine. I'm sorry my moaning has left a bad impression. Kudos to you Sir, you must be a better man than I.
No, just more fortunate. Your motor is a successor to my 107" and should be as sweet as a nut. Have you phoned S&S? I would ask them to suggest a suitable S&S centre where you can take your bike. Be polite! I've tried their dealer locator but it suggests there are none in Canada, which is difficult to believe!
