Default Suggestions on Bars and boards

07 Road King Ok I went with a sundowner seat still not as low as I like but will do for now.

Looking for Bar suggestions now.. I been toying with the idea of apes I hear alot of people like them and that they are comfortable. They need to be practical for city riding as well long distance highway.

Was considering 9" and 10" but thinking from what people been saying looks like 12" maybe better. I know alot of people my height have been going with 16" but I think tha maybe too much from me. I want to bring them back a little as well toward me. I like the feeling I need to stretch to reach my bars.

I am 6'2

Second is boards they are close so I got the extentions from the board that will take them a inch out but they need to be forward a little bit and the brake pedal is way too close. my foot gets stuck dont feel like I have alot of control.

Considered forwards but a heeltoe is a must for me.

Any suggestions thanks

What bike are you talking about?

As far as apes, I suggest at least 14". Any lower than that and you might as well save yourself a ton of money and get Heritage bars. You don't have to change cables and wires with them, and the bars are less than $100 at the dealer.

yeah what bike? I have a road king 2004 and have beach bars on now but just ordered Paul Yaffe Monkey bars 16 inch for Road King. I went with beach bars cuz i thought apes would be uncomfortable. I have ridden a few of my friends bikes since then and now have decided to change out. They are really comfortable and feel near the same hight to me as a stock big dog chopper that has no apes. I am 5'11"

Your dealer should be able to show you a variety of bars that will fit, and give you the height you're looking for. Being an '07, I'm not sure what fits, except for aftermarket. And they can be pretty expensive compared to factory bars. I think my "heritage style" bars were in the 60 dollar range. Didn't have to change cables or wiring. That saves a bunch!!

Sorry, can't help you much on the boards. I do think you can use the heel shifter with forwards (certain types), but not positive. Again, the dealership should be able to point you in the right direction.
