Default Road King bars

Anyone tryed the HD reach bars on there RK. They stock ones just seem to be to low and make me lean forward. I'm 6'1 but have short arms. Other bars?

I haven't tried. But the stealer told me that if you are not 6'2" then RK bars are a bit uncomfortable (his opinion obviously).

What about StreetGlide Bars? I'm 5'6" and they are perfect for me.

I went to the Heritage Softail bars. Much more comfortable and you don't have to change out the cables.

ChubbyWild One 10" apes were the answer for me, but I am really partial to apes. Give you a great riding position. Looking back, I would probably go with the 12 1/2 apes.

If you like the RK look, take a look at the Wild One 508's

I went with the reach bars. I like them, definitly moves things closer. Didn't need andy new cables or the wireing kit they said i needed.
If you have it done at the dealer I'd have them pull the old bars then let you sit on the bike and position various bars till yhou find one you like. Then have them mark them with you holding them so the fit is perfect. the shop i go to had me sit on the bike close my eyes and reach out my arms to a comfortable position. That's where you want the bars to be.

I have my stock bars from my 05 Classic from when I changed to newer bars, I think I will try a test fit with those and see haow they fit. I didnt think about Heritage bars, I've rode one and liked the position and feel.

Thanks for all the answers, its supose to snow tomorrow, so I have time to play it will be a week or so if no more storms come before I will be able to take her out.

Ditto. Just had Heritage bars put on last week. No cable change needed, and they are about an inch or so higher, and much easier to reach.
