rear wheel pitting
I washed my bike today, been in the garage for a month now, Weather bad when I was home last time to wash/ ride. NOW to my surprise the rear wheel, stock 9 spoke black, is pitted as if it had been on the beach for a year with no wax. I live in Indiana, and I dont own a pool or have any salt, snowmelt or any other thing in the garage that would cause that. Nothing else on the bike is pitted like that, What gives????

My buddy had some issues with brake dust settling on his rims for a period of time and that can eat through th clearcoat they apply to the those rims. If you kept the brake dust cleaned from your rims religously I would not have a clue what else could have done it.

hmmmmm,,,, I'm not sure about this but,,, my son brought home a young male husky pup. and he keeps him tied up in the garage,, well guess what, he marks his terriotry every morn on my front wheel,, till I killed him!!! lol

Rear wheel only? Is something leaking out of your bike? Battery acid?
Arethere any corrosion marks inside the fender, or on the rotor or pulley? Wheel only - sounds strange.

Thanks, No dog and neighbor don,t have one either. I wash the rear the same as the front. no pitting on it. Is that covered under the factory warranty?? If not, can that wheel be powder coated, to solid black. If that is to be an issue. I ve built too many show cars to spend every minute polishing a temper mental set of wheels. I,m over daily polishing..
