Default crank sensor 99 king

hi all, i have 99 road king classic. looks like i need to change crank sensor.

i found the sensor, follow the wires looks like it conect to a wire harness under the fram rail. looks like i have to remove pins in the harness in order to install the new sensor. does anyone have any sugestions how to go about this?

Or would i be better off cutting exisiting wires and solder onto new sensor leads. i do have harley shop book cant find it in there. any help would be appreciated

They are easy to change, you have to pull out the keeper then use a pick & move the pin lock & it will slide out. Just make sure that you make a diagram with the wire colors for placement when you put it back together. I think the owners manual has some pics on how to do it. Good luck
